Mark
Pickens’ MPE Motorsports/MOTORVATION Top Sportsman GTO took home the
prestigious Best Engineered Wally at the NHRA O’Reilly Auto Parts Super
Start Batteries Fall Nationals in Ennis, Texas. The award, presented at each
NHRA Full Throttle National Event, is given to what the NHRA Technical
Stewards deem the most deserving car entered in the event, regardless of
Class. The GTO, built by Garret Livingston and his craftsmen at Garret Race
Cars in Marble Hill, MO, and painted by Tommy Pickens and Houston Wyatt in
the MOTORVATION CUSTOM PAINT shop was chosen over a host of deserving
entries. The car is outfitted with the MOTORVATOR EFI system and loaded with
technological goodies that make it truly an outstanding car. Owner Mark
Pickens was extremely proud for Garret, Tommy and Houston, and honored to be
recognized.
